AIASC Resilience by Design Conference

AIA South Carolina’s Resilience Committee is excited to announce the 2023 Resilience by Design Conference! We have an exciting line-up of speakers including representatives from the South Carolina Office of Resilience, who will be discussing the recently published our state’s inaugural Strategic Statewide Resilience & Risk Reduction Plan and Clemson’s Master of Resilient Urban Design Program will discuss their work with communities across the state.

The Chair of AIA’s Resilience and Adaptation Advisory Group will provide an overview of the AIA’s Resilience Design Toolkit and present case-studies and best practices of how to integrate resilience into projects. Waggoner and Ball Architects will showcase their portfolios of award-winning work and discuss how they incorporate resilient design strategies into their design process.

The day will wrap up with a moderated panel featuring speakers from throughout the day. We hope you’ll plan to join us at our newly renovated headquarters in Columbia!
